I’m Emilee :) Photographer, cat mother, lover of plants, design, and dessert :P — born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee! I’ve been doing what I love and calling it work for almost 10 years now, and am so grateful every day that my God given gift is the art of telling stories.
As you will hear every wedding photographer say, I love love, feeling it, giving it, capturing it. I truly can’t think of a bigger honor than being chosen and trusted to preserve your love on its very best day.
To me, weddings are the grandest expression of self — they are a solidification of a love you can’t live without, celebrated with all of your favorite things; your favorite music, colors, food, flowers, people — a day where you get to be so proud of everything that makes you you, and your love your love, and boy is that an incredible story to help you tell.
Wedding photography has always been high on my list of favorite things — and then I got married. I remember myself as a bride — full of wonder and love and disbelief and gratitude, just overflowing with joy. And now, those are the goggles I see you through. I feel you feeling the excitement, the bliss; I feel your day deeply right alongside you. I take the photos of moments I know you will ache for on your first, fifth, 50th anniversaries. True love is magic, period. And true love photographs beautifully, every time. You just need the right heart to feel it, and the right eye to catch it! Getting to be the one to make sure you get to see it for yourself? The honor of a lifetime.

my promise to you
Photography for me has always been about the stories. I’ve always been after the emotion, the feeling, the meaning behind otherwise simply "beautiful" photos. I started like many photographers do, taking senior pictures for my classmates, making my best friends model on the train tracks, taking on little paid gigs here and there. But it really took hold when I got to college.
I studied Journalism, which was nothing less than digging deep into stories of all kinds, which definitely lit the spark. But as much as I loved to write (I still do), sometimes I got stuck behind the words. Sometimes, words weren’t enough! I added on a Photography minor, where the creative in me fully invaded my hopes and dreams.
After college, I followed my love for storytelling and photojournalism through a few different ventures -- reporting for a formal newspaper, following renowned chefs through their restauranteur journey, working with countless small businesses, individuals and other creatives to tell their stories. After moving to Nashville, I dove head first into the wedding industry, mostly because I was afraid of it, which I simply couldn’t have. And within the first month, I was just hooked. It was everything I loved, beautifully dressed and perfectly planned; photos, stories, romance, design, luxury, travel, glamour... any other path simply didn't stand a chance. I’ve lived the full spectrum of this journey from feeling completely out of my depth to pretty damn proud of what I've built (definitely still swing between the two tbh!), But I can say with certainty: this is the most fun I’ve ever had and the most fulfilled I’ve ever felt, and I feel so lucky to be building my dream life along the way.
